About this program

Electric Waves is a weekly survey of electronic dance music from the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Smaller labels, producers, and scenes are emphasized, but we make room for everything under the dance banner in one hour. Past shows have explored late 90s trance, experimental ambient techno, and disco from around the world, including the UK, China, and Australia.

About the DJ

I’ve been a DJ with SPACE 101.1 since 2023. Previously, I had shows with Hollow Earth Radio and Rainy Dawg Radio at the UW. I also write reviews for the website Inverted Audio, an electronic focused music publication based in London. Dance music has always appealed to me because it can be both communal and solitary, as well as timeless and contemporary. What inspires me is learning about a new artist or label from another part of the world.
